Delete your WeatherVector account
Cancel your subscription first. Deleting your account does not cancel a Plus or Pro subscription. If you subscribed on the web, open Your plan in the app and choose Manage subscription to cancel. If you subscribed in the iPhone or Android app, cancel in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings.
Delete it in the app
This works in the web app and in the WeatherVector apps.
- Open WeatherVector and sign in.
- Open Account settings.
- Choose Delete my account.
- Type your email address to confirm, then choose Permanently delete account. If you use two-factor authentication, you'll be asked for a code first.
Your account is deleted right away.
Ask us by email
If you can't sign in, email help@weathervector.app from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll confirm the request comes from you and delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
These are deleted from our database right away:
- Your account, email address and sign-in details, including two-factor settings
- Your display name
- Saved places and their coordinates
- Synced settings, including broadcast lower-third text and logo
- Alert preferences, push notification addresses and sent-alert records
- Your streaming overlay key
- Your plan record
What may be kept
- Payment records held by Stripe, Apple or Google, for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Backups that may still hold deleted data for up to 30 days before they're overwritten.
- Technical logs kept by our hosting provider for a limited time.
- Emails you've sent to our support address.
Settings saved on your device without an account aren't stored by us. To remove them, clear the site data in your browser or uninstall the app.
